EDITORIAL: Like itâs smaller version, iPhone 16 Plus is an excellent alternative to the Pro models â lacking are just the 120Htz refresh rate screen and a telephoto camera. The A18 processor is marginally slower than the A18 Pro chip used in 16 Pro and Pro Max making vanilla iPhones a better choice for more people. Battery charging remains painfully slow as with every iPhone and if coming from Android, iOS usebility and customization options can be downright upsetting. But iPhone users love how well Apple devices play with each other, so thereâs that.
PROs
fast A18 chip performance, a 2-day battery endurance, 1800nits very bright LTPO OLED with Dolby Vision, up to 6m of water submersion, good imaging from the 48MP OIS main, 12MP ultrawide plus a 12MP Selfie (all with PDAF) and 6 years of updates of already very mature iOS
CONs
lack of innovation in recent years, disappointing AI effort, slow battery charging, just 60Hz screen refresh rate, lack of expandable storage (that forces you to iCloud), no Desktop replacement software (updated Mar 27, 2025)

EDITORIAL: Honor 600 Pro comes with a 2 year old SD 8 Elite processor and a smaller battery as Honor looks for a good place to park it's 2nd tier offering. This excellent phone delivers stellar performance (both hardware and software wise) at a very reasonable price. It comes with a Pro series first: a camera shutter button that also doubles as a AI hardware button.
PROs
flagship build with tiniest bezels, fast Snapdragon 8 Elite with UFS 3.1 performance, >42hr endurance (less from EU model) from a 7000mAh (6400mAh in EU) battery with a sub-60min 80W (50W wireless) charging, excellent >1800nits bright ~460ppi AMOLED screen with HDR10+ and very high PWM dimming, IP69 protection, flagship imaging from a 200MP OIS PDAF main + 50MP PDAF telephoto + 12MP PDAF ultrawide setup, excellent 50MP selfie, very good video recording from all lenses, excellent OS with 6 years of updates, new 3-purpose button
CONs
no AF on selfie, no expandable storage, desktop replacement or video out, slow USB-C 2.0 port
