EDITORIAL: Happy to offer "just enough", Samsung Galaxy A57 is an expensive midranger worth your consideration only if you're a die-hard Samsung fan. It is well build and feels almost premium but it's competition offers better processor, battery and imaging performance.

good build, narrower than A56, good performance from a new processor (Exynos 1680) with UFS 3.1, improved endurance (but still sub-30hr) from the same 5000mAh lithium battery as A56 with >60min 45W charging, IP68 protection, reliable imaging from a 50MP 23mm OIS PDAF main + 12MP 13mm ultrawide + 8MP 25mm macro lens setup, 6 years of OneUI with good selection of AI tricks
CONs
wide and hard to use one hand, sub-1300nits sub-400ppi SUPER AMOLED screen with HDR10+, no AF on 3 out of 4 lenses, average sans-AF selfie, average video recording, no expandable memory, no desktop replacement functionality (exclusive to Samsung S and Z series), slow USB-C 2.0 (with OTG), expensive for what it offers
