EDITORIAL: (this is a pre-test listing based on reasonable expectation of battery, screen and imaging performance) Following Xiaomi's 2025 move, both Vivo and Oppo released "Pro" and "Pro Max" phones in September 2026. Oppo's Find X10 Pro Max lands somewhere between last year's Pro and Ultra, not really matching either. It beats Pro's battery size and camera setup while the screen is a real downgrade from X9 Ultra's QHD screen. Most importantly: this is the 1st phone with a triple 200MP camera setup on the back and given Oppo's improved imaging performance, we should expect the best photo phone title contender.

EDITORIAL: After last year's major design re-shuffle Apple is back to minimal upgrades. 18 Pro gets an obligatory new chip, faster (but overall on a slow side) charging, smaller selfie camera island and a variable exposure main camera... but the redemption lies in endurance gains brought by A20 Pro, Apple's first 2nm chip. It makes 18 Pro finish a day of us with 10-20% battery life - and that makes out a TOP Compact contender.
