Midrange
EDITORIAL: Every 6 months Oppo delivers an improved version of its Reno and Reno Pro midranges. The Reno 14 is a small upgrade of an excellent and very affordable 13. It keeps the same build and size, processor, IP and selfie but replaces dooky 2MP depth sensor with a proper telephoto camera and makes the battery slightly bigger.
PROs
aluminum frame glass back body, good performance from Mediatec 8350 with UFS3.1, >30 endurance from a 6000mAh battery with 80W charging (no wireless), great 460ppi HDR10+ AMOLED, IP69 protection (down to 2m for 30min), reliable images from a 50MP main + 50MP tele (both OIS PDAF) + not so great 8MP AF ultrawide, good 50MP AF selfie
CONs
a very incremental upgrade, should have better endurance from a big battery, sub-1300nits screen brightness, ultrawide is just okay and so are videos, the SDmemory had been removed since Reno 13, poor OS update policy, no desktop replacement, no video out from a slow USB-C2.0 port

EDITORIAL: A huge upgrade over the 1st edition CMF Phone brings improvements on screen, water immersion and an extra year of OS updates (from 2 to 3). This fun modular phone still has a ton of accessories (some very useful) and lots of flare. The body grew to 78mm wide (why so big?) but Nothing says it's IP54 actually means the phone will survive submersion in down to 25cm of water for up to 20 minutes. Triple lense camera setup offer add-on lenses for more variety. Essential Key hardware button adds functionality of easily saving voice notes, screenshots and other data to a personal folder. A fun and very original budget option.
PROs
fresh design with a very clean and functional OS to match, nice AI integration, reliable new Mediatec 7300 Pro with UFS 3.1 performance, good >30hr battery endurance, almost 1300nits bright >380ppi HDR10+ AMOLED screen, IP54 (maker claims water submersion ability) protection, some very good shots can come from the main and tele lenses, SDmemory slot and USB-C 2.0 port with OTG
CONs
thin & light but really wide, 85min slow 33W charging, uninspired 50MP 24mm PDAF main + 50MP 50mm PDAF tele + 8MP 15mm ultrawide setup, unreliable 16MP (no AF) selfie, unreliable video recording, only 3 years of OS updates and lack of desktop replacement functionality
