EDITORIAL: A27 is an downgrade of A26 looking to fill the market niche and with little regard for excellence. Screen finally got a punch out selfie and there is a 6 year OS update promise but the IP protection is worse then A26 and the ultrawide is now 5MP instead of 8MP. Worst yet, there are much better phones to find at this price.

PROs
only 800nits 385ppi 120Hz AMOLED screen but has HDR support, expandable memory slot, decent 50MP 27mm OIS PDAF main + poor 5MP 16mm ultrawide + poor 2MP 23mm macro lens, very good 12MP 25mm selfie, average video recording, 6 year update promise of mature and feature rich OneUI, global availability
CONs
big and hard to handle one hand, SD 6 Gen 3 with UFS 3.1 performance, barely 24hr endurance from a (small for the body) 5000mAh battery with 90min slow 25W charging, dim screen with low pixel density and only 120Hz-or-60Hz refresh rate options, (downgraded) IP64 protection, no AF on ultrawide or selfie, no video out of desktop replacement functionality, slow USB-C 2.0 OTG port, weak volume on the single speaker

Both phones here were scored by me, using the same ten categories, with no ads, sponsorships, or manufacturer relationships — this comparison is as objective and honest as it gets.
