EDITORIAL: 8 months after X200 Pro Mini here comes another compact Vivo. Along with Oppo and Xiaomi, Vivo is now clearly after Apple's compact phones profits. This phone looks and feels similar to iPhones falling somewhere in between iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 but delivering clean Android, much better battery life and faster charging.
PROs
very good build, fast Dimensity 9300+ with UFS3.1 performance, >36hr endurance from a 6500mAh Si-C battery with sub-60min fast 90W wired charging, bright >1700nits HDR10+ LTPO AMOLED screen, IP69 element protection, great photos from the 50MP 23mm PDAF main + 50MP 70mm OIS PDAF periscope telephoto (but not) 8MP 15mm ultrawide camera, excellent selfies from a 50MP AF unit, up to 4 years of OS updates
CONs
no AF on the 8MP ultrawide, no expandable storage, no desktop replacement feature, slow USB-C 2.0 port with no video out

EDITORIAL: 14 months after X7 Pro comes a meaningful upgrade with a metal frame, faster performance and real endurance increase. The imaging setup is largely unchanged: an excellent main camera and a 8MP ultrawide with no-AF. Ironman variant is still there too.
